Sandalwood queen Ramya pacified by big leaders in the political circles like chief Minister Siddaramaiah, SM Krishna, Dr Ambarish, Digvijay Singh and others has finally consented to contest in the by election to Lok Sabha from Mandya constituency.

At one point of time actress Ramya decided to withdraw application for sudden shock of losing her foster father on the day of filing of nomination papers for election.

Ramya will be taking up campaigning after a few days according to sources. Ramya mother Smt Ranjitha has already commenced campaigning for her daughter.

In the Mandya Lok Sabha election there are 9 persons in the fray but the direct fight is between Ramya of Congress I and Puttaraju of JDS. The inside agreement between BJP and JDS has finally given room for Puttaraju of JDS to contest.

In another LS by election to Bangalore rural former chief minister, producer, exhibitor and distributor from Kannada film industry HD Kumaraswamy wife Smt Anitha Kumaraswamy who is heading the Kasthuri Kannada channel is contesting against Congress I DK Suresh.

For Ramya in the fray for LS seat from Mandya she has to take on her opponent colleagues – Rakshita and Malavika who are members of the JDS party.
