As only few days are left for Rohit Shettys much talked reel vehicle Chennai Express to arrive, the trailers and songs are making big noise; just like drums rolling to welcome the latest filmy chariot of B-towns Badshah....
The dialogue promos have been talk of the town for days; not only grabbing attention but also building much more excitement and anticipated over the films release. Making North meet South - both in terms of film's story as well as film's branding and promotion...
Deepika Padukones spicy remark "Kahan Se Kharidi Yeh Bakwaas Dictionary" has already become a hit... The dhishoom-dhishoom factor looks thrilling.. While SRK where he as Common Man goofs up his Power punch dialogue - all have surely sent out signals that the film is going to be nothing but a full-on entertainment packed journey.
What to say about the songs? Item song "1 2 3 4" has no doubt become the chartbuster song of 2013. "Titli" track has turned out to be one of the most romantic songs of Deepika. While "Tera Rasta" brings back Shah Rukh as the typical romantic hero.
And the recent promotional track - The "Lungi Dance - Thalaiva" song - which is a tribute to Indian Cinemas screen icon Rajinikanth - has also managed to top the charts.
It can be noted that SRK earlier in his sci-fic flick Ra.One had roped in the Superstar for a cameo role. And now yet again King Khan is seen giving musical salute to Rajini in the latest Chennai Express song.
Hmmm we wonder if this time the South Baadshah will prove lucky for our Bollywood Badshah.. Will Rajinis screen honour make this SRKs reel journey as entertaining as it looks..?
But when the driver (director) is Rohit Shetty, who is known to have rode successfully into the box office station with blockbuster vehicles (Singham, Bol Bachchan), one can hopefully look forward to see brilliant sparkles flying on big screens this Eid.. So this 9th Aug, Ready Steady Po.. for the arrival of Chennai Express!
