Following Irrfan and Nawaz, another film school product, Deepak Dobriyal makes his way to International fame.
Buzz is that the talented actor's latest film, ÂChor Chor Super Chor has made it to the much coveted Stuttgart film festival in the competitive category. It is a pleasant surprise that a light hearted film from India could make it to an International festival, that too at a competitive category. An excited Deepak said, "Chor Chor Super Chor is extremely close to my heart, the amount of creative liberty I got is commendable. IÂm absolutely thrilled with the results. So much for critical acclamation now IÂm waiting for its commercial success too". Deepak is known for being a part of noteworthy films like ÂMaqboolÂ, ÂOmkaraÂ, ÂGulalÂ, ÂDelhi-6 and ÂDabangg 2Â. His portrayal of the infamous murderer Emily Jerome in Ram Gopal VermaÂs ÂNot A Love Story opposite Mahi Gill got him into the limelight and he was much loved in ÂTanu weds Manu as Puppi Ji.
In ÂChor Chor Super Chor Deepak essays the lead role of Satbir, a petty thief in the by lanes of Delhi who wants to stash the life of crime and settle down in mainstream. He falls in love and then gets jacked.
Directed by debutant Rajesh K, ÂChor Chor Super Chor is set in the bylanes of the capital while the plot spins around a gang of petty thieves and their bizarre lives. Deepak Dobriyal shares screen space with debutants Priya Bathija of television fame and Anshul Kataria in the lead.
