With ‘Samba; going strong even after two weeks in over 310 centers, it seems that reigning star NTR junior is all set to break the enviable record of Chiranjeevi’s ‘Tagore’, which grossed Rs. 21crore in 21 days.

It has grossed highest openings in my career, says the youngster who pushed himself into the big league with just eight films including blockbusters like ‘Aadi’ and ‘Simhadri’. He attributes the success of ‘Samba’ to the message of the film, and his `angry’ image its USP.

The film tells the tale of a youth who mows down rivals to carry forward the mission of his father to educate the poor and bring back glory to the Rayalaseema region. After two days, ‘Samba’ had grossed over Rs. 10 crore. With no big film around for release, It seems that NTR Jr is on the verge of establishing yet another record.
