The war between the Vijaykant fans and PMK activists has hotted up. The fans have burned effigies of PMK leader Ramadoss and has stated that in all the theatres where their idol's film Gajendra is releasing would be given protection from PMK activists who have said will not allow the film to be screened.

The fans say that they are more stronger than Rajni's fans who could not save Baba from PMK attacks. The actor's fan club secertary has given a statement to desist from burning effigies but it seems to have no effect. The militant mood of the fans has rattled PMK since its happening right within the Vanniyar belt.
