Ayushmann Khurrana, Sushant Singh Rajput, Amit Sadh, Hussain Kuwajerwala... B-town is slowly welcoming talents from small screen. And heres Rehan Malliek who joins the list of actors who after making good impression on television gets the big ticket to Bollywood.
The debut of TV actor Rehan who will be seen opposite Priety Zinta home production Ishkq in Paris feels that Bollywood is now more open to the TV actors. "When I started it wasnt but now it is. Now there are lot of TV actors coming. They work really very hard. They are good actors then why not. Most of the actors come to Mumbai to be in films but due to lack of money and opportunity they divert towards TV to get recognition," said Rehan.
Further adding he said "I always wanted to be in movies. I did TV because it was easy to get into then films so that people will like my work and then I will graduate. I have no filmy background. Take SRK, Sushant Singh Rajput, Amit, Gorge Colony, Aston Kuchter they all came from TV."
The delay of the release of the film did disappointed the actor but he was very much drawn by Mr. Bachchan words "Apane mann ka ho to accha; aur agar apane mann ka naa ho toh aur bhi accha."
"I knew there were nobodys faults. Prem was really unwell. So more than you worry about the film you worry about Prem. He was not well and his father died. It was too much of the tragedy. For me it was just a film delay. We knew the film will release. By god grace it is a very good film. Now he is okay," said the actor, who was popular for his role as Dr. Rahul Mehra in tele-serial Sanjivani.
Directed by Prem Soni and produced by Priety Zinta Ishkq in Paris is releasing this Friday, 24th May.
