After the success of the first edition of The Classic Cut Film Festival that was held in February this year, Zee Classic is back again to carry forward the promise of bringing the magic of the Evergreen Age of Hindi Cinema to its audiences beyond the television screen.
In its second leg, The Classic Cut Film Festival will re-release four of Indian Cinemas iconic movies - Sholay, Karz, Seeta aur Geeta and Deewar in PVR theatres in Mumbai and Delhi on 21 April and 28 April respectively.
Incidentally, Zee Classic is India's only Hindi movie channel with the largest library of classic films with over 300 exclusive titles from the 1940s to the 1970s.
As the first step of its larger endeavor of taking evergreen classics beyond television sets and giving todays generation a holistic experience of the most significant period in the evolution of Indian Cinema, Zee Classics, The Classic Cut is a film festival that pays tribute to the greatest films and icons of Indian Cinema.
Mr. Mohan Gopinath, Business Head, Hindi Movie Cluster, ZEEL, said on the occasion, "This is a rare opportunity for all the cinema aficionados to watch cult movies in theatres. The festival will begin in Mumbai and Delhi and will be taken to other towns subsequently."
This exclusive four-day affair will be a treat to all those movie-goers who were awestruck by Mr. Bachchans angry young man bearing in Deewar, enthralled by Gabbars villainy in Sholay, bewitched by Hema Malinis charm in Seeta Aur Geeta, tickled by Dharamendras antics in Sholay and Seeta Aur Geeta and lured by Rishi Kapoors boyish charms in Karz.
