The Malayalam director Nishath filed a complaint against Padmapriya recently after he signed her up to act in his "Number 66 Madura Bus" which he also produced. He filed this complaint at the Producers' Union.

He said that the heroine of this film Padmapriya, did not turn up for the shooting a lot of days and was very late even on the days she decided to show up. This has in turn taken the toll on the team and caused a huge loss to the producer Nishath. Also Padmapriya's manager has gotten an extra sum of money in her name. And so, there was a ban placed on this actress temporarily. Padmapriya went up to the Producers' Union and apologized for this trouble and the ban was lifted after deciding on giving her another chance to prove herself.
