It is the season of ambitious, expensive dramas in Telugu. After Dhhamarukam, Gunasekhar's Rudrama Devi, starring Anushka, will be the next big thing. Meanwhile, a period film with Priyamani in the main role is set to go on the floors. t's 'Arundhathi', a period film, that did the magic to the career of Anushka. And it's 'Magadheera' ('Maaveeran' in Tamil), again a period drama, that took Kajal Agarwal's graph to great heights. And now, Priyamani seems to be toeing the line.

If sources are to be believed, the National Award winning actress will play a princess in an upcoming Telugu film, which will take the audience 400 years back.

The movie will be helmed by Prem Arya, erstwhile associate of filmmaker Anishankar. The young director says Priyamani will play a warrior princess in his movie.

An ancient fort is being spruced up to shoot the movie and the shooting is expected to get a kick start from December 5. The film is expected to be dubbed and released in Tamil too.
