With the clock ticking towards the big moment (read Deepavali day), director A R Murugadoss is upbeat that audience could have a blast watching 'Thupaki' on big screen.

"Thupaki will be on the lines of a Rajini film of the 1980s and 1990s. It will be a correct mix of everything fans would expect from a Deepavali release," he says.

Produced by A R Murugadoss, the film will hit more than 1,500 screens on November 13. Harris Jayaraj's songs for 'Thupaki' are already making their presence felt.

Murugadoss further says both Vijay and Kajal Agarwal are thorough professionals and they gave their best to the film. "Vijay's comic sense is amazing," he says.

It has to be seen if Vijay scores his first ever hit in Telugu. His Snehithudu, released in Jan this year, was a disaster.
