November 7 is not just the birthday of Kamal Haasan and Anushka Shetty. For, it was on this day Venkat Prabhu, the man behind a slew of entertainers from 'Chennai 600028' to 'Mankatha', was born.

The filmmaker celebrated his birthday on Wednesday on the sets of his forthcoming film 'Biriyani', which has Karthi Sivakumar in the lead.

It was a surprise to Venkat when unit members bought a big cake all of a sudden and asked him to cut it.

"Thanks Biriyani team for the cake and celebrations at the spot today!Thanks guys 4 da early wishes! In 2010 thala made Biriyani 4 me on my b'day!! This year b'day I am making Biriyani 4 all of u to taste soon!" he wrote on his microblogging page.

Remember Venkat Prabhu's 'Mankatha' was one of the biggest blockbusters of 2011. Let us wish his 'Biriyani' to be a delicious feast in 2013.
