Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor may have tied the knot. However they are taking a rather long break from each other as far as coming in front of the camera is concerned. They are not signing any films together and for next year and a half at least, there is no film which would see the duo together.

"This is a conscious call taken by the couple", informs a friend, "This is more of a professional decision though as compared to personal. Their coming together on screen has hardly borne fruits, be it 'Agent Vinod', 'Kurbaan' or 'Tashan'. Whatever be the reason, professional sense says that both are better off with other co-stars."

This is apparent from the fact that while on-screen chemistry between Saif and Deepika Padukone has been working in a big way, Kareena has been juggling well amongst the top Khans.

She is also coming together again with Imran Khan after 'Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu' and there is a film each planned with none other than Hrithik Roshan as well as Ranbir Kapoor (where they play siblings).

"Meanwhile Saif has 5-6 more films lined up and none of them feature Kareena in the scheme of things. They are a mature couple and such things are thought more with brains than hearts", a source adds, "Also, since they have been together for so long, the understanding between them is picture perfect.

Otherwise if they would have been so desperate about being seen on the screen as an ideal couple, they wouldn't have chosen to work in 'Agent Vinod', 'Kurbaan' or 'Tashan', none of which saw them uniting at the end."

Guess that was supposed to be saved for their real life film. However as of now, Mrs. and Mr. Khan is a title that would be reserved only for personal affairs, not filmy.
