Mallika could relate to being called 'gazab totta' in KLPD

It is a known fact that in 'Kismet Love Paisa Dilli' aka KLPD, Mallika Sherawat and Vivek Oberoi are playing a couple on the run in one eventful night.
For Mallika, this is also her comeback as a leading lady in a mainstream commercial Hindi film years after 'Maan Gaye Mughall-E-Azam'.
No wonder, she is quite excited about having done the film.
"It is good to be a female protagonist in the film which has a director like Sanjay (Khanduri). When I saw his 'Ek Chalis....', I instantly fell in love with it.
Now KLPD too is on the same lines as far as it being radical, edgy and cool is concerned. This is one dynamic and energetic team with Sanjay, Vivek (Oberoi) and Amit (Chandrra) and the whole package has truly worked for me", Mallika continues.
It was a package affair that she had hoped going in her favour with 'Hisss' as well. With a director from the West no less and Irrfan Khan in the lead, she was indeed looking at 'Hisss' being a true blue crossover affair.
However not just was the film critically thrashed, it was rejected by audience as well. Really, what went wrong? Was it the case of a good idea totally going for a toss due to director messing up things?
"I think that was an experiment that didn't work. Some movies work and some don't and it is part and parcel of every actor's life. All you have to do is move on", Mallika says in a guarded tone.
Guess she did move on after all and chose KLPD as a film which is expected to bring her back in the limelight. The film is also special for her since the film is based in that side of the country (Delhi, Haryana) from where she originally hails.
"Yes, when Sanjay explained the lingo of the film, I could understand that since I belong to North.
I could relate to it because comments like 'maal hai yaar', 'gazab totta' and all is something that I have heard during growing up years", winks Mallika.
Now one looks forward to audience saying the same as well when the film releases this Friday.
