The comedy hero of Kannada cinema Komal Kumar in his third film ‘Nandeesha’ home production film media briefing speaking to a few media friends disclosed that the market survey for ‘Govindayanamaha’ first time screening in Zee Kannada has earned Rs.5.25 crores gross as revenue for more than one and half an hour advertisement.

‘Govindayanamaha’ according to market sources in 100 days made Rs.10 crore minimum business putting everyone in comfort zone. Now the telecast of it has given over Rs.5 crores business and from third position Zee Kannada came to the second position.

In case the market survey of Rs.5.25 crores is correct then Komal Kumar gets the No.1 position. None of the superstars of Kannada cinema collection in the first screening is not that much it seems. Of course films like ‘Jackie’ and ‘Apatha Rakshaka’ were double than the duration of the film when it was telecast.

For Komal Kumar the happiness keeps him going. Another record Komal Kumar holds is the telecast of ‘Mr Garagasa’ for 59 times in the satellite channel.

He is now in his third film as producer – Chamkaisi Chindi Udaisi and Kal Manja did well. ‘Nandeesha’ is a remake of Malayalam film that has completed 50 percent of shooting. It is moving to Ooty for rest of the shoot. He is hoping for hit pair of the song Pyaar Ge Agbuttaithe….heroine Parul. Malavika is another heroine of ‘Nandeesha’ – she has acted in three Malayalam movies, one Telugu and one Tamil movie so far.
