The Kannada cinema 'Prem Adda' all set for release is not yet freed of its title. The director of 'Prem Adda' Mahesh Babu, producer Meka Muralikrishna and actor Prem are insisting on the style and size of the title like what they want. KFCC apex body of Kannada cinema industry is very strict on uniform size of the title.
The team of 'Prem Adda' went to court on this issue and they received a brickbat. This is the issue to be decided in the four walls of KFCC said the court order. It was back to square one for 'Prem Adda'. On Monday director Mahesh Babu and actor Prem in television channels and producer Meka Murlaikrishna at KFCC office held discussions. There were charges too on KFCC.
Meanwhile producer BK Srinivas who is in possession of 'Adda' title has sent across a letter to all media offices saying that the KFCC budging to 'Prem Adda' would result in contempt of court.
The history of 'Adda' title is also interesting. For a long period the title 'Adda' was in possession of director cum actor Prem. He did not renew it recently. The KFCC according to its guidelines renewed it in the name of BK Srinivas. Producer of 'Mandakini, Bhagirathi, Alemari' announced 'Adda' belongs to him.
BK Srinivas for the insult he received from director Prem at the time of 'Jogaiah' release wanted to give up his anger on director Prem. He is hell bent on giving up the title 'Adda' for Prem.
'Prem Adda' is a remake of Tamil film 'Subramanyapuram'.
