Winning award in the Best Actor category for portraying Sri Rama in the film Sri Rama Rajyam, has become quite a routine for Balakrishna. Santosham Cine Puraskaralu was the latest to give away him an award, the other day. Nayanatara received an award in the Best Actress category.

Speaking at the function, Yuva Ratna said, "Audience have always encouraged me whenever I played a versatile role. A film like SRR, which glorified our culture, could have been made only by Bapu. I dedicate this award to Bapu and Mullapudi Ramana."

Akkineni Nageshwara Rao, K Balachandar, Sharada, Ambarish and Edida Nageshwara Rao were given away Lifetime Achievement awards.

The event was attended by the likes of Ramesh Prasad, Allu Aravind, Krishnam Raju, Puri Jagannadh, Tamanna, Trisha, Tapsee, Manchu Lakshmi Prasanna and others.
