Nikhat, Aamir's sister turns 50th on August 3rd and Aamir’s family had planned a grand bash for the same.. with the Indian festival of love, care, protection and brotherhood ‘Raksha Bandhan’ observed a day before.. it was a perfect setting for a grand family happening..

Aamir was scheduled to leave for his Chicago leg for shooting of Dhoom 3 on August 3rd night with the entire team.

He was planning to celebrate Rakhi, which is on August 2nd and leave on 3rd night.

The scheduled would have kept Aamir away from his family till first week of November. Aamir who is known to do one projects at a time has been quite a juggler this year with magnanimous TV show Satyamev Jayate, Talaash and Dhoom 3 all in the same breath.

When Aamir came to know about the grand celebration for his sister turning 50 he requested Victor (director of Dhoom 3) and Aditya Chopra if he would be allowed to leave a day in advance. Of course he didn't want to disrupt shooting or upset any schedule.

Victor and Aditya were more than accommodating and felt Aamir could join the shooting on 6th without any issues. So now Aamir will spend quality golden moments with his family and leave on 4th night.
