Shruti Hassan is the talk of the town nowadays. Harish Shankar may have given her due recognition for her contribution to Gabbar Singh, but the actress feels that the film is a team effort. "My contribution was but little," she confesses. The actress philosophically asserts that there is no place for 'success' and 'failure' in her dictionary.

The reason being that she doesn't think these are factored in to assess a person's talent and worth. Though her career has seen initial hiccups, Shruti is not disquieted a bit. She focused all along on choosing good roles – roles which she believed will earn her recognition. The strategy has paid off. Despite the failures, she has been sought after by many producers.

"My dad always says that it is talent that matters anywhere. Some films in which I have acted in may have flopped, but they did not lose because of me. Given this fact, why should I get demoralized by their failure?" she shots back.
