Amala Paul is for reality, against fantasy

Every time Amala Paul is offered a role, she brainstorms on it for good. Only after she is convinced that it will help her project herself in a new dimension, will she go for it. For example, she was not very inspired by her role in Bejawada. She went for it, however, because that glamorous role was something she had not done before.
Conscious of the hard truth that only some out of the many heroines can hold their ground and stay on for long, she works toward showing style and panache in her work. "I know that it is not possible to be offered novel roles every time. But the role I am offered should appear new at least for me. When I do a character, it should not look artificial for others," she avers.
The budding actress believes that for an actor to be able to exude naturalism, characters have to be carved out of reality, not fantastic imagination.
