When he visited the page of a friend's friend on Facebook, it struck RP Patnaik and he observed many things on the page for 30 minutes. He experienced many emotions. Friends Book, which is set to release tomorrow, is the result of that experience. The film stars newcomers. "Six friends meet after a long time and decide to do something different. They launch a social-networking website. The film deals with (unforeseen) problems arising out of fake accounts," RP elaborates. The film talks about the greatness and value of friendship.

The film is not entirely based on the phenomenon of social networking though. He has always liked to wield the megaphone, but his first love remains music. He is going to music direct a film titled as Music, which will feature 12 songs.

He has pinned hopes on Friends Book, hitting the screens on the same day as Neeku Naku Dash Dash, a film directed by Teja, his erstwhile creative companion.
