Director Vijay has revealed that Vikram is playing a police officer in 'Thaandavam'. "But this one will be a straight contrast to his earlier cop movies, including Saami," says the director of 'Madrasapattinam' and 'Deiva Thirumagal'.

Telugu hero Jagapathi Babu, who is doing a crucial role, is also playing a police officer in this movie being produced by UTV Motion Pictures. "Thaandavam will be a stylish action entertainer on a grand scale," Vijay adds.

Stating that Anushka Shetty and Amy Jackson, who are playing the leading ladies, will have equal screen space, the director says both are doing very crucial roles that have an impact on the script. Rumour mills also have it that Vikram will be playing a blind person in his scenes with Amy Jackson.

"We are done with the Chennai schedule. Now we are planning to move to the United States to shoot some important scenes. A location hunt is on at present and things will get shape in a week's time," Vijay says.
