After the corporate entity Nokia filed a petition in the Delhi High Court objecting to the use of its trademark name in Mr. Nookayya the film, it was ordered that the film be immediately withdrawn. Following the legal injunction, the makers of the film decided to edit the objected content. The new film has been re-titled as Mr. Nookayya Reloaded.

Speaking on the occasion of the re-release, Manoj thanked all those who are lapping up the film. He said that the new version is faster than the old one. The director (Ani) said that the audience are liking Manoj's performance in the film. He said Manoj's performance in sentimental and comedy scenes and his action are being liked by mass and youth audiences alike.

Producer DS Rao described the objections raised by the corporate entity as unnecessary. Though the film was stopped from being screened at several multiplexes, the audience interest in the film has not dwindled, he said.

Manoj wants to thank his fans and for this, he is touring the towns like Guntur and Vijayawada from March 16-18.
