Gandharvulu is tri-lingual film directed by Gopal Perumal. Set in the backdrop of the famous Khajuraho monuments, the film tells the story of a journalist (played by Swetha Nair). She goes to study the 'temples of love' so as to write an informed article on them, only to be consumed by their beauty.

She finds herself overtaken by the sexually explicit representations and making suggestive postures. Gandharvulu then takes a detour into Past Life Regression. Does the heroine have an intimate link with Khajuraho?

The makers say that the very many romantic scenes detail the intricacies of the Khajuraho symbolism for audience.

The film is produced by Chintalapudi Vasu. It also stars Dhana, Sunitha Shetty and others. Kishan G is the music director.
