Once again three films are allowed to contest in the box office. The eagerness to release is snatching the collections. The market strength is not studied for the release of films.

However Golden star Ganesh and Manjari Phadnis starring 'Mujane' is from the flagship of director S Narayan. He is the producer, director, story, screenplay, dialogue writer and music director for the film. This is an emotional drama set in the family. The sacrifice of characters is the hall mark of this film says director S Narayan who is directing Ganesh for the third time. His previous two films 'Cheluvina Chittara' magnificent in collection and 'Shyloo' of the same pair was moderate in the box office. Both are remake films from Tamil – Kadhal and Myna.

The second interesting film to hit the screen this time is 'Sankranthi' by popular film 'Thavarige Baa Thangi' producer RS Gowda. 'Mussanje Mathu' director Mahesh is the director of this family sentiment film. Gururaj Jaggesh son of popular hero and politician is playing lead with Roopasri as heroine. Skandha Ashwath grandson of Dr KS Ashwath is debuting in this film. Master Hirannaiah is the grandfather of the family with BV Radha. Shanker Ashwath, Vijayakashi, Bhavya, Mandya Ramesh and others are in the cast.

This is the second chance for Gururaj Jaggesh. He appeared in 'Gilli' a remake film. Sridhar Sambram has scored the music and cinetech Soori is the cameraman.

In the cold storage for two years 'Puneeth' by newcomer Neelkamal is hitting the screen with Dilip Pai and Nisha Shetty as counterparts. It is a love story with music by Mumbai composer Kabir Raj. Baba Saigal has appeared in a song and dance in this film. Ananth Urs is the cameraman. Veteran actress Bhavya plays the mother in this film. Ramakrishna, Adarsh, Neethu, Edakallu Chandrasekhar are in the cast.
