Ever since Prakash Raj announced his directorial debut, Dhoni, the audience have been looking forward to watch a meaningful film. Their hopes have been raised to a new high after they watched the film’s trailers, released with Businessman on Jan. 13. The makers are proud to say that the film has been getting hits on You Tube as well. This bears testimony to the popularity of the film.

"Prakash Raj has announced that the trailers are getting great response from a cross section of audience. They have expressed many positive thoughts about the film. We think that we have watched a good film", a press release from the makers said.

Starring himself in the role of a middle-class man who wants to make his son an MBA professional and Master Akash (Puri Jagannadh's son) as a child with a knack for cricketing, the film is scheduled to release in February. The audio is slated for January release.

The music is by Illayaraja, while the lyrics are by Sirivennela Seetharama Shastry. We are ensured of a treat in the form of thought-provoking lyrics and amusing music. What's more, Dhoni has much in store on the technical front too. Its cinematography is by KV Guhan.

Produced by Prakash Raj himself on Duet Movies, the film is touted to be a cocktail of emotions.
