Happy Birthday, Chai

It has just been three years since Naga Chaitanya debuted in Josh. Though the Akkineni scion, who had a legacy to live up to, could not make it in his first attempt, he proved that he can be an understated performer of mettle in Ye Maya Chesave. That film, directed by Gautham Menon, changed the audience perception of the budding actor significantly.
Lady luck smiled at him for the second time when Sukumar game him the self-obsessed, snobbish college boy role in 100% Love. Chai, this time, exceeded the expectations and delivered yet another studied act in the campus story. The audience found that he had improved on a lot of counts - be it expression, dancing or comedy.
A disappointment came to him in the form of Dhada, which, by any standards, was a dud. However, it is not of much consequence given the fact that he is expected to come back with a bang in Bejawada, set to release on Dec. 1.
As an actor, Chai wants to explore and experiment a lot, as he submitted in his interview to IndiaGlitz. This is the reason why Auto Nagar Surya, set to release in 2012 summer, is so special for him. This one is a political satire, and he will immediately go for a contrasting film to be directed by Radhakrishna (titled Gaganam).
Before his next birthday, the much-loved Akkineni scion will have acted in a bi-lingual and, perhaps registered his first hit in the Tamil turf.
IndiaGlitz wishes Naga all the best and a delightful year ahead!
