As has been expected, Radha Mohan's film with Naga Chaitanya will go on the floors, although it won't be sooner than January 2012. The director had been holding story discussions with the actor and his final nod was presumed to be obvious. It was only a matter of time, not a matter of consensus. The good news is that it will be Chai's first bi-lingual. To be shot in Telugu and Tamil, the film's star cast and technical crew is expected to be announced sooner than later.
It will be an experimental film for Chai. Unlike Bezawada and Autonagar Surya, which fall in the realm of the commercial cinema of the popular kind, Gowravam (tentative?) seems to be a bit off beat but commercial nevertheless. Radha Mohan's previous film (Gagananam, also a bi-lingual) was with Nagarjuna and Prakash Raj.
There is a curiosity around the movie's genre. Radha Mohan is known for his sensitive handling of human emotions and his heart-soothing sentimentalism. Gowravam, as the title indicates, comes across as a mature subject. If it can make it big, its story would be a topic of interest and Chai would garner critical appreciation for daring to do a hatke fare.
