'Osthi' is a complete mass film, which will be neatly packaged with classy elements as well. It will be a complete treat for film buffs”, said STR aka Silambarasan, the protagonist of the movie.

Talking to journalists in Chennai Thursday night, the actor said: "The film will live up to its name. It will be Osthi in all aspects. I am happy to play a police officer for the first time in my acting career."

Director Dharani said, "I thank Simbu for the kind of co-operation he has given for the film. He was ready to do anything to get his act right. Richa Gangopadhyay will make it big in Kollywood. So will Thaman, the music composer."
