Kushboo on Wednesday could not secure bail in a case relating to alleged violations of rules during the April 13 Assembly elections campaigning, as Judges in two courts were reportedly on leave.
Kushboo, one of the star campaigners for the then ruling party DMK, has been accused of campaigning without permission from police and election officials thus causing hindrance to public. Hence the police registered a case against her. Recently the Madras High Court directed her to surrender before the Magistrate Court, Andipatti to get the bail.
On Wednesday, the actress-politician took a flight from Chennai to Madurai and reached Andipatti court via road. However, she was reportedly directed to appear before Periakulam court since Andipatti Magistrate Sundararajan was on leave.
When she went to Periakulam court she was told that the Magistrate Sankar was on leave. So she left the place without getting bail.
During the recent Assembly elections, Kushboo, after enrolling herself as a primary member of the DMK, had crisscrossed the State as a star campaigner of the party.
