Naga Chaitanya's Bejawada will hit the marquee on the 3rd of next month. Also starring Amala Paul (of Prema Khaidi fame), the film is set in the city of Vijayawada. The story takes place in the backdrop of rowdyism and thuggery in the once-dreaded city, in which lynching, political murders and internecine rivalries had been infamously rampant.

Ram Gopal Varma chose to re-christen the film by dropping 'Rowdeelu' from the title. (He maintains that the title change has nothing to do with the controversy surrounding it and the objection raised by some).

Directed by Vivek Krishna, the film holds immense importance for Chai. It is because his last film Dhada flopped miserably at the box office.
