This a new record for a Telugu film. Oosaravelli will be screened in 1800 screens across the world on the first day (Thursday, the 6th of October). Planned for a grand release in Andhra Pradesh, where it is expected to release in over 700 theaters, the film will be released in the US in around 100 screens.

Besides the two gargantuan releases, it will be released in Canada, Australia and South Africa too. Dubai, Gulf and Kuwait will screen the movie in a good chunk of theaters.

Considering the stardom of NTR, the number is far higher. With Oosaravelli releasing in as many screens as a Rajinikanth or a Bollywood blockbuster film, it would seem that it will break the records of all of NTR's previous releases.

If it really stands the test of what its makers themselves have described about their film, it should not surprise any one even if Oosaravelli becomes the biggest hit in the history of Telugu cinema.
