When the whole unit is passionate about the product, it is natural that the outcome will be a marvel. The team of Sri Rama Rajyam is trying to bring out just that. Currently in its post-production stages, the film's re-recording went great. According to the producer, Yelamanchi Sai Babu, Maestro Illayaraja gave it his all and worked steadfastly to ensure that re-recording comes out brilliantly.
"Illayaraja felt that the film, which was shot wonderfully, should be lent extraordinary re-recording. He used to watch the scenes early in the morning and note down the bar count; based on the count, he used to jot down the nodes meticulously. The Maestro used to spend so much time on it that sometimes it was afternoon by the time he completed the work. The orchestra would be called then. Usually, he works from morning to 6'o clock in the evening. However, for Sree Rama Rajyam, he would work till late in the night just to ensure that re-recording comes out well."
Also, the musician used more than two key boards - something he did for the first time in his career. Illayaraja wanted to break away from the regular pattern and belch out different music for this mythological. "He would tell Bapu that the film's deserves the kind of music which the audience do not expect from a film of this genre. A new screenplay was written through the medium of music. At times, Illayaraja garu himself used to be awe-struck at the output."
Nine musicians from Hungary have been called in for re-recording. Illayaraj strained for the film as a debutante would do, Yelamanchi said in a press release.
