Rana, who made his debut with 'Leader' in Telugu is presently doing a Bollywood film titled 'Department' of Ram Gopal Varma. Presently some action scenes are being canned and Rana is doing the stunts on his own at the steel factory on the outskirts of Mumbai.

It is heard that Rana suffered grievous injuries on his knees and shoulder. Sources from the film unit say, Rana was supposed to jump on few boxes but due to mistiming and miscalculation, he ended up landing on his knees and accidentally his knee caps protection also broke.

So, he suffered multiple breaks on his knee. Not only that, he suffered a bruise on his shoulder as well. It is unfortunate that he could not get immediate medical aid too as the shooting is going on the outskirts of the city and the fighters who were also involved in the shooting kept some ice-cubes immediately as a first-aid and he was rushed to the hospital and doctors advised him complete bed rest.

He returned to Hyderabad for the time being to take rest.
