Gundamma Katha may or may not take shape for want of a better actor than Suryakanthamma who can reprise her unforgettable act. However, Dana Veera Sura Karna may be re-interpreted sooner than Gundamma Katha. It is because Junior NTR is not only keen on the film but also there are no difficulties involved here as in case of a multi-starrer. More importantly, not one but two directors are interested in directing the film for NTR - SS Rajamouli and VV Vinayak.

That both of them share a unique rapport with NTR only helps the matters. Do not expect the film to go on the floors in a year or two, because there is no commitment as yet on the part of either the directors or any producer.

Dana Veera Sura Karna has caught the imagination of NTR, who desires to play three contrasting characters and emote different emotions in one film much like his legendary grandfather.

Though the film will be a big challenge for NTR, whose act will draw comparisons with the senior, given the ambitious nature of Junior, he may well pull it off much to our surprise.
