Young actor Nani has been let down by his latest release, Sega. The bi-lingual, which released as Veppam in Tamil, has failed to give Nani a second hit in row. Much to the disappointment of those who expected that the chemistry of Nani and Nithya Menon was going to dazzle again on the screen, ala 'Ala Modalaindi', 'Sega' has come a cropper. In the main, Nani's expectations from the movie have turned sour with the dull response it has generated in the first week of its release.

For Nani, the film must be a failure in another sense. Hearing him say that Sega would show to the world the talent of its woman director, Anjana, one had expected that it was no run-of-the-mill film. Nani's belief has turned out to be out of place. Let alone a BO hit, the film has not won the hearts of the critics either.

Nani seems to have misjudged the script. It will be good if he is cautious the next time around in zeroing on the right scripts.
