Post-elections of the Tamil Nadu Director's Union, the members met recently at Vadapalani in Chennai. Following which, the committee met the press. The committee has twelve directors including Venkat Prabhu, Prabhu Solomon, SP Jananathan and others.

Although the President, director Bharathi Raja wasn't present at the event, the first resolution was taken by the committee members. This was regarding an MOU signed between the SRM University and Director's Union, regarding a four month certificate course in filmmaking.

The course that is conducted in two batches, will give detailed training in filmmaking to the enrolled. The course will be conducted annually, and held between 10 am to 1 pm, with a course fee of Rs 3000.

Not just that, in this four month duration, an eminent director will conduct a class for an hour each month.
