Popular film producer Nemichand Jhabak is the latest to join the list of those complaining against Sun Pictures and its Chief Operating Officer W Hansraj Saxena. On Monday, he filed a police complaint over the recent film 'Mappillai'.

According to Jhabak, he sold the film's rights to Sun Pictures for Rs 17 crore. Though Sun Pictures paid him the money initially, subsequently he was threatened by Saxena and a portion of the money (Rs 3.37 crore) was extorted from him.

In his four-page complaint, Jhabak said he did not know how to register a complaint against Sun Pictures at that time. Now that the government had changed, he had decided to approach the police, he said.

This is the third case registered against the Saxena in the past one week. He was arrested on July 3 at the Chennai airport after a Salem-based distributor filed a cheating complaint against him over the distribution of 'Theeratha Vilayattu Pillai'.
