Superstar hails Jaya's victory

Soon after reaching his apartment in Singapore from Mount Elizabeth Medical Centre, Rajinikanth spoke to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa, and greeted her for the AIADMK's victory in the Assembly elections.

According to an official release issued by the Tamil Nadu government on Wednesday, Rajinikanth told Jayalalithaa that he wanted to speak to her first after getting discharged from hospital and called her on phone.

Wishing Jayalalithaa on her election victory, he told her that he would return in a month and a half. The Chief Minister, who was immensely glad to hear his voice, told him about her happiness over his early recovery and expressed the wish that he should return to India at the earliest.

The actor's wife Latha also spoke to the Chief Minister, the release said and added that Latha thanked the Chief Minister for her kind enquiries about the health of her husband when he was hospitalised.
