We witnessed the Tamil Nadu state elections that brought about a lot of changes in Tamil cinema at all levels. And now, we are soon to see the elections in the Tamil Film Directors Association.

Bharathiraja who is the current head of the association will be contesting again, and now against Ameer. The association has over two thousand members and both the directors are seeing ample supporters.

Gautham Menon, Murugadoss, Prabhu Solomon, Balasekaran, Venkatesh and Vasanthabalan are supporting director Ameer.

Bharathiraja's team will have Selvamani contesting as a Secretary and Ezhil as a Treasurer, whereas, Ameer's team will have Cheran contesting a Secretary and Jananadan for the Treasurer post.

This election that happens once in two years is scheduled to take place on June 19. We wish both the teams luck with the elections; post your comments in here to express who according to you should bag the post.
