Prakash Raj wins national award again

Actor par excellence Prakash Raj bagged national award yet again. While last time he was conferred national award for his captivating action in 'Kancheevaram', this time he bagged the award as a producer of the Kannada film 'Puttakana Highway'.

Directed by Suresh, the movie is based on the novel 'Puttakana Medical College'. The movie highlights social and developmental issues. Prakash Raj incidentally hails from Tulu speaking family from Mangalore in Karnataka.

Prakash was escatic when he heard the news of him winning national award yet again.

"It is a moment of joy for me personally to get the award on the same stage where my mentor K Balachander will recieve Dadasaheb Phalke award" Prakash Raj posted online.

Prakash Raj who produced 'Naanu Nanna Kanasu' in Kannada which was a hit is currently remaking Telugu film 'Aithe' into Kannada too.

Incidentally, the movie is still in theatres at PVR cinemas in Bengaluru.
