Finally, actor Irshad is on for that long cherished break in commercial cinema. The actor who has proved his worth in movies by acclaimed art house filmmakers such as Pavithran, T.V. Chandran, P.T. Kunjumuhammed, and K.R. Mohanan, has been able to accumulate critical and mass acclaim for his portrayal of an alcoholic husband of self declared demi god, in the first commercial movie by Priyanandhanan 'Bhakthajanangalude Shradhakku'. Irshad is extremely believable in the movie and shares good screen chemistry with Kavya Madhavan in this movie, which is a satirical take of real life stations that forces a women to act as a demi-god.

'Yathra Thudarunnu,' a take on man-woman relationships, will be Irshad's next release, in which he stars with Lakshmi Gopalaswami.

He will be also seen in the Mammootty flick ‘1993, Bombay March 12', which is getting ready to grace the theatres by next month.
