Assistant director Milind who has assisted ace director Mani Ratnam in projects like ‘Kannathil Muthamittal’ ‘Ayutha Ezhuthu’ ‘Yuva’ and ‘Guru’ has turned director with ‘Kadhal 2 Kalyanam,’ a film which stars new comer Satya, the sibling of actor Arya pairing with Divya Spandana. Apart from the lead pair this film sees a host of supporting actors forming the family of the protagonists.

Jayashree, the veteran actress, who has earlier acted in “Thendralay Eennai Thodu”, has made a comeback in this film with a good performance alongside Alagam Perumal. Actress Kasthuri who created ripples with her item number ‘Kuthu Villaku’ in ‘Tamil Padam’ has reappeared in this film with a performance-oriented role.

Anuja Iyer who won the hearts of the audience with her performance in ‘Unnaipol Oruvan’ and ‘Ninaithaale Inikkum’ plays an important role in this film. She has portrayed an interesting characterization on friendship, spontaneity, joy and appears full of soul in ‘Kadhal 2 Kalyanam’ (K2K).

A close source has revealed that this film introduces a twin pair, who is pivotal in inducing comic doses in the film. The identity of the actors has been kept strictly under wraps to create more suspense.

Another interesting aspect of the film is that some scenes have been panned with the six shrines (the Aru Padai Veedu) of lord Muruga. The effort has been put in by the director after 40 years; the previous film to span all the six shrines came out sometime in the late 60s. Sources close to the ‘K2K’ team suggest that a special bus was designed for this purpose with pleasant interiors and exteriors.
