Every time there is a superstar film on the roll rumors start flying left, right and centre. There were stories about many yesteryear as well as young heroines joining the ‘Raana’ team. There were even stories that Big B was roped in for a part in the film. Now we have the director of ‘Raana’, K.S. Ravi Kumar, making it clear on the original facts that have taken place so far concerning the film.

The director revealed to a leading news daily that ‘Raana’ has as much as seven ladies in the cast, but the auteur also clearly mentioned that ‘Raana’ would romance only three of them. Not only that, director Ravi Kumar has mentioned that out of the three lead ladies only Deepika Padukone has signed the dotted line. Since ‘Raana’ is a 100-crore project the director is carefully in talks with other artists regarding the final cast ready.

‘Raana’ is a historical film which is set in the 17th century. The director is joining hands with Rajini after a period of twelve years. And since the film involves big money he is treading carefully. The director revealed that a lot of characters in the film are very significant so he is on the look out for the right artist who would do justice to the role. He also informed that neither Big B nor Kamal Haasan were a part of ‘Raana’.
