Elaborating on the basic premise of 'Teen Thay Bhai' (which is obviously about 'three brothers'), film maker Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra says that it is a different take from dozens of other Bollywood flicks in the past that have narrated the tale of brotherhood.
"In 'Teen thay Bhai', these three brothers can't even see each other eye to eye. On the contrary they love to hate each other," laughs Mehra whose biggest hit till date, 'Rang De Basanti', had male bonding at the centre of it all, "The back story of 'Teen Thay Bhai' though is that each of these three brothers is a failure in life and blames each other for it."
"Om Puri being the eldest of all is frustrated that he had to look after the other two as their parents were no more. Middle brother (Deepak) has his own grouse and again, his emotional back story is told in a comic vein. As for the youngest of the lot (Shreyas), he is an actor stuck in Punjabi films and wants to make it not just to Bollywood, but straight into Hollywood," he continues.
Also starring Ragini Khanna as the sole leading lady, 'Teen Thay Bhai' is a co-production of PVR Pictures and Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra Pictures and releases all over on 15th April.
