Junior NTR and Ileana starrer mega budget movie Shakthi which will release on April 1st, was reportedly made in 18 months time. The movie's producer Aswini Dutt himself revealed that including the pre-production time, the movie took 18 months to be made.

His daughter Priyanka Chalasani personally took care of the production and the shooting part of this film took 13 months.

"I have been in film industry for over 36 years now. This is the first ever movie in my career that was shot for 13 long months. As many as 300 technicians worked in this project. We shot in Egypt, Ladakh, Haridwar, Rishikesh et al. We are planning to remake Shakthi in Hindi too. We will reveal the details soon. After 'Robot', perhaps this is the only movie that can match its cost and lavishness when it comes to sets" Aswini Dutt announced.

Like in Indra which had Varanasi backdrop and Kolkata backdrop for 'Choodalani Vundhi', this film has five Shakthi Peetham as the backdrop to the story. The movie is releasing in all South Indian states on April 1st and in Tamil as 'Om Shakti'. Aswini Dutt feels that Meher Ramesh will be Junior Raghavendar Rao after the success of this movie and NTR will cement his position in the industry.

"Tarak reminds of NT Ramarao in many scenes and he will be remembered for ever for this film" he claims.
