Nani and Nitya Menon starrer 'Ala Modalaindi' completed 50 days recently and the team celebrated the success at Shiparamam in Hyderabad on Tuesday. Dasari Narayana Rao was the chief guest. Nani, Nitya Menon, Rana, Sumanth, Varunsandesh, Jayasudha, Bellamkonda Suresh et al participated in the celebrations.

Everyone was all praise for this movie which turned out to be a biggest surprise hit this year. It was made with a mediocre budget of Rs 3 crore and with the satellite rights, it went on to collect over Rs 11 crore. It will now be remade in Tamil too and the rights were sold for a staggering Rs 50 lakh. The director of this film Nandini immediately became an instant hit and her remuneration increased to Rs 1 crore.

Guests and invitees who attended the 50 day function. Dasari appreciated the movie unit for not resorting to vulgarity and making an honest movie.

"Ever since I watched the film, I wanted to falicitate the hero, heroine and the director. The director did a great job and she reminded me of lady directors Bhanumathi Ramakrishna and Vijayanirmala. Young directors should focus on work and not be after big stars. Big heroes then will come running after them. After Bommarillu, this was the genuine youthful hit. To run for 50 days in 56 centres is not a joke. I congratulate the producer, director and the crew for it" he said.
