Venkatesh who led his team to victory in the Celebrities Cricket League match held at Visakhapatnam on March 5, unfortunately had an injury on his chin while catching the ball almost at the end of the match.

The South Stars team led by Venkatesh won the toss and elected to bat. The team scored 192 runs with a loss of 8 wickets in the mandatory 20 overs. The Mumbai Heroes team could score only 156 runs in 50 overs with a loss of six wickets. Hence the CCL friendly match won by South Stars team.

Adarsh of South Stars team hit 48 runs in 28 balls to remain a top scorer, while Venkatesh hit 27 runs and remained not out. In the beginning Tarakaratna gave a good beginning to the South Stars team by scoring 30 runs in just 13 balls.

Mumbai Heroes lagged way behind and their entire team had very poor score. Mahesh Manjrekar of Mumbai Heroes did a nice bowling.

Revealing about the injury Siddhartha tweeted, “When Victory Venkatesh had a battle injury on the field, he had to have stitches immediately. When I saw his wound, I saw something strange! I took a picture of his stitched up wound.I am putting it up. I won't put any ideas in your head but tell me what shape you see in the pic :) This is our captain Victory Venkatesh's battle scar. Proud of you chief! Now guys, you see OM!!”

Another hero Rana Daggubati, who is also the nephew (DV Suresh Babu’s son) also posted on the Twitter like this — Venki is feeling much better. Just resting for a week to ten days. And will be back to work. Very soon. Thanks for the prayers.”

Let us also pray and wish he would recover from the injury very soon.
