Tollywood's biggest crowd puller Mahesh Babu is all set to do a film with one of the biggest directors in the country, Maniratnam. Mahesh met Maniratnam in Chennai on Sunday morning and heard the script. He liked it and immediately signed the project.

Mahesh himself revealed this news to his fans through twitter.

"My dream is coming true finally. I will be working in a Maniratnam film. One of the happiest days of my life" Mahesh tweeted.

Sources say Tamil star Vikram is also all set to play an important role in this film based on the Tamil novel 'Ponniyin Selvan'. The epic story deals with the kingdoms of Cholas and Pallavas. This historic project is likely to be produced by Sun Pictures and will go on floors this year.
