Jeevitha is wielding the megaphone for ‘Mahankali’, produced by Yeluru Sirender Reddy and A Parandhama Reddy on the banner of Anjeri Arts, with Rajasekhar and Madhurima in the lead roles.

Speaking on the sets, Rajasekhar says, ‘I am playing the role of ‘Mahankali’, a sincere Assistant Commissioner of Police. This ACP creates terror in the minds of the villain Pradeep Rawat. The film is based on terrorism in the country in general and in Hyderabad in particular. We tried to explain the involvement of political leaders and what kind of steps the police take to check the anti-social elements. We kept a tagline ‘The Punisher’ for our movie. It is the remake of a popular film but I don’t want to disclose any more details. Already our film was hit by the recent strike in the film industry and got delayed. We are making efforts to wrap up the movie as early as possible and release it in the first week of April.

Pradeep Rawat, Asish Vidyarthi, Satyaprakash, Chalapati Rao, Raghu, RK, Kadambari Kiran, Sutti Velu, Jockey, O Kalyan and others are in the cast.

Dialogues are by Mohan, music is by Chinna, camera is by PG Vinda, while screenplay and direction are by Jeevitha Rajasekhar.
