She is Kajal Agarwal, an eminent actress of South and the beauty said to have been signed in for Rohit Shetty’s forthcoming ‘Singam’ remake, starring Ajay Devgn.

Earlier the speculations were rife that Anushka Shetty, another top southie who did the original, was being considered for playing Ajay’s love interest. However, things didn’t seem to have worked for her.

Well, to tell you something about this newbie Kajal – she had featured in ‘Kyun...! Ho Gaya Na’ as Aishwarya Rai’s friend. In fact, she has been cast in Dabangg’s Telugu remake for Sonakshi’s role!

‘Singam’ is being remade in Hindi by Reliance Big Pictures with Ajay playing a tough cop. Prakash Raj will feature in a negative character. The untitled project will start rolling this month and release in July.
